U3A Master Lecture Series
Have you been watching the ABC documentary “Old Age Home for Four Year Olds”? It follows what happens when a bunch of energetic, enthusiastic 4 year olds visit a group of elderly people.

On Saturday October 26th, at the U3A Sunshine Coast's first Master Lectures morning, Dr. Apil Gurung, Lecturer in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Para-medicine at the University of the Sunshine Coast, will share what happens when university students move in to share accommodation at Cooinda Aged Care, Gympie.

And to paraphrase one of the medicos on the ABC documentary - if you want to keep your mind alive and kicking, then you need physical action, mental action, and social interaction. The second speaker on Saturday October 26th will be Dr Martin Bridgstock, former lecturer at UQ, who will be inspiring the audience with the impact that U3A’s have upon the physical and mental health and social interaction of their members.
Saturday at 10.00am 26-Oct-2019
